Semana santa-- the holy week before Easter-- begins next week, and signs of its advent are already visible. Fanesca, the typical meal during this period, is heavily advertised in local restaurants. And today, I came across this religious procession in the middle of Cuenca. Two children protecting a Jesus statue were seated on the back of a jeep and a musical band trailed the group.
