Today, I spent more time than I ever have outside a country. The Ecuador- Peru border is unaffectionately known as "the worst crossing in South America" and our three hour wait under the sun in No Man's Land for various bureaucrats to stamp our passports an unnecessary number of times is testament to that nickname. I'm thankful it was a hassle and nothing else-- I've heard of theft and corruption among the police force... The main perk of the wait was seeing a cop with a nametag that read "C. Guevara." I knew Che would pop up somewhere...
The donkeys faced fewer problems...
