Mancora

This town is not the notion of Peru I had conjured up in my mind. No ancient ruins, ridiculous summits or llamas trotting about. But Mancora, a beach-lover's dream at the very North of the Peruvian coast doesn't make me long for Machu Picchu in the slightest. Today I went jogging on the beach, swam four times and had delicious ice cream. The town is crammed with raggard backpackers and ripped surfers. My only-- mild-- preoccupation is that a daily description of my siesta in hammack may not be of particular interest for a blog. But bear with me?

Main drag
The old men and the sea.

The town is full of vivid colours.

Sneak peak.
