Last Cusqueño day (until this weekend)

Today, I decided to finally get my act and stamina together to explore the higher parts of Cusco. It was both literally and figuratively refreshing to walk up, away from the throngs of tourists of the center. I got so enticed during my mini-tour that I wandered into a shanty-esque compound and almost got devoured by a couple of rabid dogs, before their owner (i assume) came and basically saved me. Other than that minor interruption, I am very infatuated with this city. Quito still rules my heart, but with a little more time and investment, Cusco could become a serious rival. Tonight, I leave by bus for Copacabana. No, not the Brazilian beach, but the Bolivian town nestled on the edge of Lake Titicaca. Below are a few shots from this beautiful Cusqueño day.
Before the famished dogs tried to attack me. Definitely a different side of Cusco...

Vendors, windy steets, jewellery. Obviously Cusco.
Two hilarious Argentine travellers. Happily walking down the street, playing for fun.

Cherub!
